No citations were issued after an accident 9:21 p.m. Sunday on Highway 34.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, James Alfred Roshto of Villisca, driving a 2003 Ford west on Highway 34, lost control because of icy road conditions. The vehicle crossed the center line, slid backward into the ditch, where the rear of the vehicle dug in to the ground, which caused the vehicle to roll and come to a rest on the driver’s side. Heather May Roshto, 38, of Villisca was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Medical Center, where her condition is unknown.

Damage estimate is $10,000 to Roshto’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 8:54 a.m. Sunday on 183rd Street.

According to a Creston Police Report, Leah Marie Purcell, 22, of Corning, driving a 2004 Pontiac east on 183rd, lost control of the vehicle because of road conditions and ran off the roadway. Purcell was transported by ambulance to Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Corning, where her condition is unknown.

Damage estimate is $5,000 to Purcell’s vehicle.
