EU/Murray boys beat Corning

CORNING — The East Union/Murray boys golf team opened its season with a 20-stroke victory over Corning here on Tuesday.

Jacy Eklund won medalist honors and Corey McCracken took runner-up honors for the Eagles.

On the girls side, Kaleigh Westlake won medalist honors for Corning with a score of 47.

Corning tops Bedford

CORNING — The Corning boys golf team defeated Bedord here on Thursday, by a 190-210 score.

Lance Swartz won medalist honors for the Red Raiders with a round of 44 and Drey Barton took runner-up honors with a round of 45.

In the girls competition, Kaleigh Westlake earned medalist honors with a score of 44 and Bailey Heaton shot a round of 45 for runner-up.

EU/Murray edges NV

AFTON — The East Union/Murray boys golf team edged out Nodaway Valley here on Thursday in a tiebreaker.

The two teams were tied at 175 after scoring the top four golfers and thus went to the fifth score to break the tie, where EU/Murray held a 46-50 advantage over the Wolverines.
