Creston

I would like to thank the Creston News Advertiser reporters and staff who put in many hours interviewing and writing the many articles on veterans in the Creston area. It was very interesting to read the varied accounts of the veterans who have served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm/Shield and Iraq and Afghanistan. I hope that the accounts also enlightened those who have not had the opportunity to serve their country through military service as to the many sacrifices that were made, not only by those whose stories were shared, but by any veteran who has had the opportunity to serve their country. As Bob Hope, a great comedian and a great ambassador to those troops serving in many overseas areas, so aptly put it "Thanks for the memories."
