SHENANDOAH — Creston/O-M girls placed fourth among nine full teams and edged Glenwood in the process for the Hawkeye 10 season dual, in the Fillie Golf Invitational here Monday.

Teams only got nine of the scheduled 18 holes in before the remainder of the event was rained out.

Creston/O-M had 103 strokes over par for fourth place behind Clarinda, Shenandoah and Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln. Glenwood was fifth at 130 over par, with the difference counting as the scheduled meet with the Panthers. The Creston/O-M boys meet scheduled at Glenwood was postponed because of rain.

“It started to rain the last three holes,” said Panther coach Jan Lesan. “Shelby Palser was ow for us with a 54. We just need to get all the girls together. That will be at tournament time. It was good that we were able to use this meet to play Glenwood.”

Finishing one stroke behind Palser’s 54 was Madison Hance with a 55.

Nodaway Valley also participated with less than a full squad, led by Taylor Hull with a 57.

Medalist was Clarinda’s Ellie Shane at 10-over par 47. Teammate Samantha Swanson also shot 47.

Creston/O-M girls are scheduled at Chariton Thursday.
