Jamie Marie Michaels, 19, 409 S. Maple St., was charged 7:52 a.m. Monday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center with credit card fraud.

According to a Creston Police report, Bobbie Derry reported her credit card was taken from her house and it had been used to purchase numerous items of merchandise from several stores. Derry indicated she spoke with Michaels, who admitted to taking and using the credit card for unathorized purchases. During an interview with officers at the LEC Monday, Michaels admitted she took the card from Derry’s residence and made unathorized purchases on March 25 and 26 at Walmart, HyVee, Jade Garden, Casey’s and the U.S. Cellular store. Michaels’ purchases totaled $658.22.

Michaels was being held on $2,000 bond.

Leslie Louise Turner, 48, 504 N. Cherry St., was charged 10:30 a.m. Monday with delivery of a controlled substance.

According to a Creston Police report, Turner illegally distributed hydrocodone tablets to a cooperating individual. The transaction was monitored, recorded and documented by officers with Tri-County Narcotics and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.

Turner was being held on $50,000 bond.
