Paige Stevens Creston

Paige Stevens, 90, of Creston died May 3, 2013, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25. The Rev. Jim Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery south of Creston. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Monday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to American Heart Association. Paige Darlene (Coulthard) Stevens, daughter of Dessie B. (Parrott) and Cecil F. Coulthard, was born April 16, 1923.

She was educated and raised in the Corning and Council Bluffs areas.

In 1944, Paige moved to Utah to work and repair airplanes in the war effort at Hill Field.

On Dec. 31, 1944, Paige married Roy Leslie Stevens in Virginia. They settled in Adams County, where she was a homemaker and helped farm. They moved to Creston in 1963.

Paige volunteered at Creston Nursing and Rehab.

Paige is survived by her sons, David and Cecil Stevens of Creston; daughters, Barbara (husband John) White of Texas, Linda Hill of Des Moines, Darlene (husband Bryan) Cook of Diagonal and Janet (husband Frank) Young of West Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bernard (wife Wanda) Coulthard of California and Vernon (wife Diana) Coulthard of Des Moines; sister-in-law Verla Coulthard of Cedar Falls; brother-in-law Gail (wife Mary) Stevens of Missouri; and many other family members and friends.

Paige was preceded in death by her husband; sister Carolyn; brothers, Frances (wife Wilma) and Alvin Coulthard; brothers-in-law, Wayne and Orvin (wife Dorothy) Stevens and sister-in-law Evelyn (husband Glenn) Haley.
