CORNING — The Corning Center for Fine Art (CCFA) Second Saturday will continue Saturday with featured artist Dianne Osmun. The opening with be 1 to 4 p.m. at the CCFA gallery on Main Street in Corning.
Osmun is a potter and ceramic artist originally from eastern Iowa. Both of her grandmothers influenced her with their interest in the arts and introduced her to the architecture and culture of many countries. She spent her summers on the farm creating artwork out of everyday materials and now works primarily with stained glass and pottery. Osmun received a degree in interior design from Iowa State University and also has a degree in human services.
The Second Saturday series is presented by CCFA the second Saturday of every month. Each new opening offers the chance to meet the artist and have complimentary refreshments and appetizers. Corning Winery is a supporting sponsor of the Second Saturday program.
