Adams County poster contest winners announced

CORNING — Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District and Adams Mutual Insurance Association are sponsors of the annual conservation districts of Iowa’s poster contest. The 2013 theme was “Where does your water shed?”

Students grades K-12 were asked to submit a poster based on their interpretation of the theme. There were 165 posters entered for the contest.

The first three places for each category were chosen.  The winners are: grades K-1:  first Emma Devore, second Emilie Robinson, third Charlee Larsen; grades 2-3:  first Kaleb Dodge, second Mason VanHouton, third Rebecca Inman; grades 4-6: first Kaitlyn Richey, second Carlie Breaud, third Hailey Thomas

Winners were awarded a monetary sum for their efforts.

Each first-place poster will advance on to the regional level competition.
