David Edward Russell Jr., 21, 116 Manor Dr., No. 3., was charged 3:35 a.m. Saturday at the Union County Law Enforcement with operating while intoxicated.

According to a Creston Police report, Russell was stopped for a traffic violation. While speaking with Russell, an officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Russell. Russell consented to a standardize field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test with a test result of .124. Russell consented to a sample of his breath for DataMaster which showed a blood-alcohol level of .127.

Russell was released on $1,000 bond.

Jeremiah Lee David Parcher, 36, 502 W. Summitt St., was charged 12:28 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of North Elm Street on a Union County warrant for failure to appear on child support matters.

Parcher was being held on $2,000 bond.

Dennis Paul Speed, 43, 617 N. Birch St., was charged 7:37 p.m. Sunday at his residence for violation of a protection order.

According to a Creston Police report, a female reported Speed was outside her residence banging on all the doors. Upon arrival, officers observed Speed at the residence’s south door. Speed stated the female had invited him to the residence and he had spent the night. The female verbally stated there was a valid protection order in place and requested charges. A valid protection order between the parties was confirmed.

Speed was being held on $300 bond.

Sonya McNeal, 409 N. Vine St., reported a signed hockey card, wedding ring, jewelry and coins were taken from her residence between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.

Loss estimate is $1,500.
