EMERSON — Chat Mobility announces the launch of its 4G LTE service. 4G LTE service offers Chat Mobility customers a network that is up to 10 times faster than 3G networks, therefore providing faster data speeds for smartphone, tablet and PC use.

The completion of the network upgrades is the result of an agreement with Verizon Wireless to participate in the LTE in Rural America program. Under the LTE in Rural America program, Verizon Wireless is teaming up with rural carriers to jumpstart the delivery of fourth-generation Long Term Evolution (LTE) services to rural communities throughout the United States.

“The agreement with Verizon Wireless and the network upgrades we have completed allows Chat Mobility to offer our customers the latest technology, phones and the highest level of service,” said Brian Spurgeon, general manager for Chat Mobility. “To coincide with the 4G LTE launch, Chat Mobility is introducing competitive new rate plans and competitively priced 4G phones.”

Under the agreement with Verizon Wireless, Chat Mobility leased spectrum and has completed construction of a 4G LTE network in southwest and south-central Iowa serving Chat Mobility customers, Verizon Wireless customers and customers of other LTE in Rural America participants. An additional benefit is that Chat Mobility customers will have access to Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, the largest 4G LTE network in the United States.
