TRURO — A nine-run second inning lifted Interstate 35 to a 13-6 victory over Nodaway Valley Thursday.

Trevor Jameson was 2-4 with two RBI for NV. Ryan Williams also had two hits and Zach Eblen had a hit while also drawing three walks and getting hit.

Casey Ladd, Ryan Williams and Jackson Lamb all pitched for the Wolverines.

Mt. Ayr 5, Bedford 3

MOUNT AYR — The Mount Ayr Raiders moved to 4-2 in the Pride of Iowa baseball race by outlasting Bedford Thursday, 5-3.

The Raiders scored two runs in the sixth.

Heath Evans got the win, yielding only one earned run on five strikeouts and two walks. He also hit a solo home run.

Austin Quick finished 3-4 with an RBI, and Jake Still hit a double and single for Mount Ayr, now 9-7 overall.

C. Decatur 10, Corning 5

LEON — Central Decatur tallied three runs in the bottom of the sixth to break away from a 7-5 lead in defeating Corning Thursday, 10-5.

Lance Swartz had a double and single with one RBI for the Red Raiders. Drey Barton had two singles and an RBI.
