Musical comedy spells F-U-N at Warren Cultural Center

GREENFIELD — Everyone’s a winner when the 25th annual “Putnam County Spelling Bee” takes the stage at Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield. History Boy Theatre Company from Jefferson will present the musical comedy 7 p.m. June 29.

Tickets are on sale now at Ed & Eva’s, 154 Public Square, Greenfield, and online at Cost for general admission seating is $12 for adults and $8 for students.

“Putnam County Spelling Bee” is the comedic tale chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. In the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, the six youngsters learn winning isn’t everything and losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.

Directed by Robby and Angie Pedersen, the cast and crew of History Boy Theatre Company deliver the Tony Award-winning show with first-rate acting, singing and dancing. Plus, selected audience members will take part in the onstage fun during the performance.

Robby started History Boy Theatre Company in the summer of 2009.
