James McDonald, 61, 1496 Clover Ave., was charged with violation of a protection order 8:05 p.m. Friday.

According to a Creston Police report, McDonald was served with a valid protective order 2 p.m. June 13, which ordered him not to go to, enter, occupy or remain in any residence, under any circumstance, where Carlene McDonald is staying. At 6:48 p.m. June 14, James McDonald went to 612 Grand Avenue and allowed a third party into an apartment, where he knew Carlene McDonald was. Witness statements corroborate that James McDonald had knowledge that Carlene McDonald would be present at this location.

McDonald was released on promise to appear.

Robert Wheler Easley, 35, 609 N. Maple St., was cited for allowing his dog to run at large 8:13 p.m. Saturday.

According to a Creston Police report, Easley’s black laborador escaped from a fence and chased neighbor’s onto their porch at 607 N. Maple St.

Easley was released on promise to appear.

Randy Eugene Overholtzer, 43, 1309 Miller Road St., and Cody Lee Vandel, 26, 411 W. Howard St., were charged with simple assault at Vandel’s residence 9:26 p.m. Sunday.

According to a Creston Police report, Overholtzer and Vandel committed an act intended to cause pain or injury or result in physical contact, which would be insulting or offensive to another.

Overholtzer and Vandel were released on promise to appear.
