Beverly Emhoff — Colorado Springs, Colo.

Beverly J. Emhoff, 79, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of rural Creston, died June 15, 2013.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 21, in Colorado Springs, Colo. Local graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Calvary Cemetery in Creston. The Rev. Kenneth Halbur Jr. will officiate. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. with family present 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and a 7:30 p.m. Rosary at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St., Creston. Memorials may be directed to St. Dominic Catholic Church in Beverly’s memory. Online condolences may be left at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.

Beverly Jean Swab, daughter of Tina C. (Kovacevich) and Mathew A. Swab, was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Des Moines.

On Sept. 15, 1951, Beverly married Harold Eugene Emhoff. They lived and farmed in rural Creston for many years.

Beverly worked for several years at the Creston News Advertiser and was a homemaker.

Beverly and Harold moved to Widefield, Colo., in 1982, where she worked for American Family Insurance and Widefield Insurance Agency, as well as being a homemaker.

Beverly is survived by her daughter Debbie Dresback (Lloyd Smith) of Widefield, Colo.; brother John (Rene) Swab of Rochester, N.Y.; sister Kathy (Alan) Austin of Afton; grandsons, Craig Dresback (Winter Taylor) of Birmingham and Brian Dresback of Des Moines; great-grandchildren, Lehdyn, Makenna and Edwin, all of Birmingham; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1995; and son Richard “Dick” in 1975.
