John Chris Hood Plymouth, Minn.

John Chris Hood, 62, of Plymouth, Minn., died June 19, 2013, at his home, after a bout with brain cancer.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Messiah United Methodist Church in Plymouth, Minn. Visitation will be 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Cremation Society of Minnesota is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Kids Care Connection scholarship fund (www.kidscareconnection.org).

John Chris Hood was born April 4, 1951, and raised on a farm in Creston.

Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in economics from the University of Iowa. He worked for Winnebago, Honeywell, Pentair and Nilfisk Advance.

Chris is survived by his wife Melissa; children, Michael (Carol), Benjamin (Caroline) and Allison (Keion Austin); grandchildren, Kayliana and Elliot; brother Stephen (Miyoko); sister-in-law Cindy Fagan and brother-in-law Scott (Kristen) Davidson.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Wanda Hood; and brother-in-law Marty Fagan.
