Creston woman killed in Fourth of July accident

A Creston woman died 9:27 p.m. Thursday in a single-vehicle accident.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Linda Green, 52, 508 W. Adams St., driving a 2012 Chevrolet south on Ivy Avenue at approximately 9:27 p.m. Thursday, struck an embankment after she drove through the intesection of Ivy and REA Road.

Green was transported to Greater Regional Medical Center, where she died of her injuries. Damage estimate to Green’s vehicle is $25,000.
