Adair County 4-H program to benefit from silent auction
GREENFIELD — The Adair County 4-H program will be holding a silent auction again this year at the Adair County Fair. Bids will be accepted beginning 6 p.m. July 17 and will continue through 1 p.m. July 21. If there are active bidders at the cut-off point, they will be allowed to continue to bid on the item for which they are competing.
The Youth Action Committee is still soliciting items for the auction. At this time, auction items range from 15 tons of road rock delivered anywhere in Adair County to a men’s wristwatch, entertainment packages, model tractors and a 15-gallon spot sprayer. Organizers anticipate there will be more than 60 items by the beginning of the silent auction, including gift certificates, toy tractors, dog food and gift baskets.
Anyone wishing to donate to the silent auction to benefit 4-H may do so by contacting Adair County Extension at 641-743-8412 or by dropping the item off at the 4-H and FFA Center before 2 p.m. July 17.
