New SWCC board member appointed, increase in tuition and fees passed
Southwestern Community College Board of Directors passed an increase in tuition and fees and appointed a new board member at the monthly board meeting Tuesday.
Tuition and fees
It was approved to increase tuition 4 percent for residents and 4.2 percent for nonresidents. The increase will go into effect fall 2014.
"We are proposing an increase of $6 per resident credit hour and $6.50 per nonresident credit hour starting for next fall," said Teresa Krejci, chief financial officer. "That would increase our tuition fees to $154 total tuition fees."
