Larry Dean Vanderpluym, 51, 1103 N. Birch St., was charged with disorderly conduct 12:59 a.m. today at his residence.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to Vanderpluym’s residence to be present as the residents were voluntarily moving out at the request of Vanderpluym. Officers witnessed him making loud and raucous noises toward the residents, as well as direct abusive epithets. Vanderpluym was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Vanderpluym is being held in Union County jail on $300 bond.

Lora Lee Knight, 609 W. Montgomery St., Apt. 3, reported her car was scratched between Thursday and Saturday 4 p.m. The location of the vehicle was unknown.
