Lamoni 8, Mount Ayr 5

MOUNT AYR — Heath Evans hit a solo home run and John Triggs drove in two runs, but Mount Ayr fell to Lamoni 8-5 here on Tuesday.

Austin Quick went 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and two stolen bases. Jacob Taylor, Nick Wurster and Casey Paxson each finished with one stolen base.

Guthrie Center 5, Orient-Macksburg 3

ORIENT — Dylan Nichols finished with two hits, including a double, in a 5-3 loss to Guthrie Center here on Tuesday.

Chantz Davidson and Keaton Eslinger each drove in one run for the Bulldogs, now 9-13. Jacob Caviness took the loss for Orient-Macksburg after relieving Davidson.

The Bulldogs return to action Tuesday in district action against Lamoni.
