Summer reading

All summer reading programs end 6 p.m. July 26. Adults who complete their 1,000 pages will receive a water bottle for participating.

Children and teens who finish the summer reading program have the opportunity to continue reading for a “special prize.” For every half hour teens read, they will be entered in a drawing for an extra prize.

When children visit the library and check out books, they will be entered into a drawing for an inflatable dinosaur.

Don’t forget there will be movies at the library 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays in July for school-age children. This is a great way to beat the afternoon heat!

Adult poster contest

Attention adults – Poster Contest begins Friday. Have you been reading the “Groundbreaking Reads” poster located on the wall near the elevator across from the check-out desk? Have you noticed the changing titles on the poster? Great! Just write the titles you remember reading and enter the “Groundbreaking Reads” poster contest! Rules and entry forms will be located upstairs. A prize will be awarded. Contest ends 6 p.m. July 26.
