Lenox Police

Robin Hayden, 26, of Lenox was charged with child endangerment 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a Lenox Police report, police received a report of an unattended child in the 600 block of East Ohio Street, in Lenox. Upon arrival, officers found a 7-year-old girl sleeping outside a locked apartment door. Investigation into the incident showed the girl had been staying with Hayden while her mother was at work. While in Hayden’s care, Hayden left town, locked the girl out and left her unattended for several hours in temperatures more than 90 degrees without food or water.

Hayden was being held awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.
