Catherine Crawford Mount Ayr

Catherine Crawford, 94, of Mount Ayr died July 20, 2013, at Mount Ayr Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the United Methodist Church in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Skip Rushing will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials may be given to Mount Ayr Health Care Center, HCI Care Services in Mount Ayr and American Legion Auxiliary in Mount Ayr. Online condolences may be left at www.watsonarmstrongfh.com.

Catherine Crawford, daughter of Anna (Williamson) and Annas Dahlgran, was born Sept. 19, 1918.

Catherine graduated from Riverside High School.

On Nov. 23, 1941, Catherine married William “Bill” Crawford in Rockport, Mo.

Catherine was a house wife and homemaker.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Catherine is survived by her children, Donald (Cham) Crawford of Ponca City, Okla., Larry (Marlene) Crawford of Indianola, Ann Beech of Des Moines, John (Donna) Crawford of Orange City and Harold (Melynda) Crawford, Bernard (Marla) Crawford, Rosemary (Jim) Hullinger and Doris Crawford, all of Mount Ayr; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Roy and Iva Crawford; son Robert Michael Crawford; son-in-law William Beech and grandson Kendall Crawford.
