CHS Class of 1968

Creston High School class of 1968 met June 29 for the 45th year class reunion with a buffet dinner at the Fred and Joyce Franklin farm. Fifty-six people attended the dinner catered by Sister Chicks of Creston.

Classmates toured Creston High School and The lowana during the afternoon.

The reunion planning committee included: Vickie Blazek Stephens, Angie Kafka Ford, Nancy Kessler Hawks, Connie Fredrickson, Connie Holmes Carlson, Joyce Hartsook Franklin and Fred Franklin and Rose Allen Osmun.

Those attending reminisced with the memory wall. A picture display honored 19 deceased class members.

Gregg Jeffreys, class president, conducted the business meeting. Donations were made for the memorial funds. Plans were discussed for the 50-year class reunion which will be held in 2018.

Classmates attending from out of state included: Cindy Osborne Wolff, Mary McElroy Tackett, Mary Louise Burkhalter Edwards, Joyce McDowell Burkey, Pam Henry Hill, Gwen Koether Elliott, Jane Caldwell Hoover, Bill Thompson, Sharon liams, Steve Montague, Jim Larkin and Joe BIakely.

Classmates attending from Creston included Angie Kafka Ford, Vickie Blazek Stephens and Dan Stephens, Nancy Kessler Hawks and Tom Hawks, Connie Holmes Carlson, Joyce Hartsook Franklin and Fred Franklin, Marsha O’Riley Parsons and Roy Parsons, Connie Fredrickson, Karl Knock, Mike Wolfe, Dan Turner, Barb Noble Spencer, Pat Baker Heimke, David Crigger and Sharon Howe Snodgrass.

Classmates attending from other Iowa communities included Chris Ahern Jeffreysand Gregg Jeffreys, Lynn Sandeman, Becky Shrimpton, Jim Berg, Sue Loring-Pommer, Phyllis Herbel Baker, Reva Vicker Green, Charles Hribal, John Weeberand Dan Huey.

McFee Family

The annual McFee family reunion will be Aug. 4 at the Eagle’s dining room.

There will be coffee and donuts starting at 10 a.m. with a potluck dinner at noon.

The family will also be meeting 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at A&G Restaurant.
