DES MOINES — The Iowa Lifespan Respite Coalition wants to hear from those who are caregivers or work with caregiving issues in their communities. The coalition is holding a series of summits in Iowa, including one in Creston.

A Lifespan Respite Coalition Summit will be held 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Southwestern Community College, Performing Arts Center, 1501 W. Townline St.

This event is free and open to the public.

“We invite caregivers and their loved ones to join us for this important conversation and share their experiences, strengths, weaknesses and concerns that they have regarding respite care in their communities,” said Mazie Johnson, Lifespan Respite Coalition member and executive director of The ARC of Iowa. “Hearing from the caregiving families, providers and consumers is crucial to achieving our vision of an Iowa where respite is readily available and easily accessible to all caregivers.”

For more information on the summit, contact Johnson at 515-402-1618.
