Lenox Police

Shaun R. Sanden, 34, and Jose R. Cerda, 33, both of Lenox were charged with serious assault/domestic 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a Lenox Police report, Lenox Police received a call requesting assistance in the trailer court. Upon arrival, a man with blood running from facial wounds was found outside. The Taylor County Ambulance was contacted for assistance. Further investigation revealed Sanden and Cerda had become involved in a dispute, which led to a fight. Both men received injuries. Sanden and Cerda were transported to Taylor County jail.

Sanden and Cerda were being held awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.

Alfredo Zapata-Gonzalez, 23, of Lenox was charged with operating while suspended and operating while intoxicated under the influence of narcotics 8:13 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a Lenox Police report, an officer stopped a vehicle at Nebraska and Brooks streets for equipment violations. A check of Zapata-Gonzalez’s license showed it to be suspended and a further investigation led the officer to believe he was operating under the influence of a narcotic. Zapata-Gonzalez was transported to Taylor County Sheriff’s office for further testing.

Zapata-Gonzalez was being held awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.
