Elizabeth Jo Ragusi, 25, of Thayer was charged with domestic abuse assault 10:59 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, deputies were called by 911 and advised of an altercation at a residence in Thayer. Upon arrival, a deputy spoke with Terry Phelps Jr., who advised deputies that after they left earlier that evening, Ragusi got upset with him, pulled and ripped his shirt and bit his right shoulder. Phelps said he did not fight back. The deputy observed a reddish mark on Phelp’s shoulder. Ragusi told deputies that she got mad at Phelps because he would not give a phone back to her mother. Ragusi also said she grabbed Phelps, but did not bite him.

Ragusi was being held on $300 bond.


Cindy Wiles of Lorimor reported her wedding ring was taken from her residence Thursday.

Value estimate is $4,200.


Eric Eklund of Afton reported a Toshiba laptop, Kindle Fire, cash and jewelry were taken from his residence between Wednesday and Thursday.

Value estimate is $1,100.


Doug Jones from the Union County Conservation Office, reported a picnic table had been burned and electrical box damaged at Cedar Park between Wednesday and Thursday.

Damage estimate is $350.
