Accident

No citations were issued after an accident 4:19 p.m. Tuesday near New York Avenue and Lincoln Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Tyler Michael Perry, 25, 905½ W. Adams St., driving a 2003 Mazda west on New York Avenue, accelerated to move around a 2001 Ford pulling a utility trailer, driven west by Jeffrey Lloyd Bierle, 51, of Cromwell. Perry was attempting to warn Bierle the ramp to the trailer was dragging on the roadway. Bierle was merging at the same approximate time as Perry. The point of impact was between the rear passenger side tires on the trailer and Perry’s driver side door.

Estimated damage was $3,000 to Perry’s vehicle.
