Another Creston High School graduate is on their way to a successful career in the medical field.

Dr. Debra Neuharth — a 2000 graduate of CHS — recently accepted a position as a physician at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon. Neuharth was awarded her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2010 from Des Moines University. She also has a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2006 from Drake University.

“We are pleased to have Dr. Neuharth join our exemplary medical staff,” said Daren Relph, CEO at Wayne County Hospital. “Not only does she bring additional talent and skills as a general family practitioner, she is experienced in obstetrical care, as well.”

Neuharth completed her three-year family medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Omaha — a multidisciplinary tertiary hospital in June 2013.

At CHS, Neuharth was active in band, cheerleading, plays, speech and varsity tennis. Later, she attended Southwestern Community College for some of her undergraduate credit hours. Also worth mentioning, one of her interships was with Greater Regional Medical Center.
