Walk to End Alzheimer’s to be held Sept. 7

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Iowa Chapter will be holding the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sept. 7 at McKinley Park.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

The walk will feature raffles, live entertainment, information on Alzheimer’s programs and services and how to get involved, a vendor showcase and a ceremony dedicated to all those affected by the disease.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.

While there is no fee to register, each participant is expected to raise funds to support care, support and research efforts.

The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to all registered walkers.
