Reflections Beauty and Tanning Salon has found a new home.

Reflections will open in its new location, 500 W. Union St., on Sept. 3.

“The new location will be great!” said salon owner and stylist Makenzi ‹ehling. “Being on other side of the tracks should make it easier for people to get to us.”

‹ehling said the main benefit of the move is the aquisition of a private parking lot.

“This seems to be the thing clients are happiest about,” she said.

Reflections was opened in 2005 by sisters Kristin and Brenda Hoepker at its former location at 207 N. Elm St.

Kristin Hoepker handed over ownership to ‹ehling at the start of the month.

“Kristin decided to follow her dreams and moved away for other opportunities,” said ‹ehling. “We wish her the best of luck and will miss her very much.”

Kristin Hoepker will be working at Blush Salon in the Des Moines neighborhood of Windsor Heights. As for ‹ehling, she is enthusiastic to take the reins.

There will not be any changes to the services offered at Reflections.

“We will still be a full-service salon offering tanning, haircuts, color, perms, styling for special events, waxing, nails and make-up application,” said ‹ehling.

To schedule salon service at Reflections Salon and Tanning with ‹ehling or Cassie Mahan call (641) 782-3041.
