Field day planned in Adair County

GREENFIELD — The public is invited to attend the Adair County Corn and Soybean Association’s 17th annual field day Sept. 5.

The field day will highlight the two variety test plots conducted by the association. Participants will tour the roundup ready corn and soybean test plots located on the Gene Buckmiller farm located 1/4 mile east of the Orient-Macksburg School.

The field day will start at 6 p.m. with a complementary supper being served consisting of pork loin, potato salad, baked beans and brownies at the test plot site.

At 7 p.m., participants will take a walking tour through the 33 corn and 30 soybean varieties. Sales representatives will be on hand to discuss with participants the merits of their varieties.
