Robbie Runette Smith, 42, 611 W. Adams St., Apt. 5, was charged 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at her residence on a Union County warrant for credit card fraud.

According to a Creston Police report, 6 p.m. Aug. 22, Lori Tull reported her debit card had been taken from her at McDonald’s, 608 Wyoming Ave., and had been used to purchase numerous items from Casey’s, Dollar General and Hy-Vee. Tull indicated she had spoken with employees at the stores and they looked at video surveillance. Brandon Stone, a cashier at Dollar General, told officers he knew Robbie was the name of the woman in the video and that she worked at McDonald’s. McDonald’s employees told officers they have evidence Smith took the card. The employees also said they found the card on the ground at the drive-up window and contacted Tull to retrieve the card. Tull then looked at her bank statement and noticed charges at Hy-Vee, Dollar General and Casey’s which were made when the card was not in her possession. Dollar General and Hy-Vee also have video evidence Smith used the card. Spent estimate is $285.96.

Smith was released on $2,000 bond.
