Creston High School plans homecoming activities

Published: Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 11:59 a.m. CST

Creston High School homecoming will be Sept. 27.

The homecoming parade is set for 2 p.m. School will dismiss two hours early.

“Starry Night” is the theme for the parade this year. Decorating for the theme may include anything that has to do with stars, nighttime or even celebrity stars.

CHS invites local groups or organizations to enter a float in the parade. Floats should reflect the theme, Creston Schools or football. Call the high school at 782-2116 or email peblen@crestonschools.org for details. Parade entries must be registered at the high school by Sept. 18, as drop-ins on the day of the parade may create traffic jams, confusion and safety issues. No political floats may be entered.

The parade will start at the corner of Sycamore and Devoe streets, travel south on Sycamore to Adams Street, east on Adams Street and north Maple Street then disband in the area north of Howard Street near Gibson Memorial Library.

The public is invited to watch the parade.
