Sims, Schulte wed in June ceremony

Diana Louise Sims and Nicholas Dean Schulte were married June 8 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sims of Kingwood, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Schulte of Creston.

The Revs. William Richter Jr., and Paul Brinsden from the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Kingwood,Texas, officiated the double ring ceremony. Readings were provided by Brinsden and Carol Sims, aunt of the bride.

The bride wore her mother’s 1972 wedding dress for the ceremony. In keeping with the patriotic theme of the wedding, the bridesmaids wore blue dresses and carried red bouquets.

Matron of honor was Anastasia Moore. Bridesmaids were Courtney Norton, Katelyn Ebdon, Brittney Mikkelson and Meghann Kosman.

Best man was Russell Finehout. Groomsmen were Sean Walters, Adam Mikkelson and Michael Carnivale.

The bridal party traveled to the ceremony in a vintage trolley car, and the bride and groom traveled in a classic white Rolls Royce.

Dr. Stacy Norton and her daughter Courtney Norton hosted a bridal shower and manicure/pedicure at Moody Gardens Spa. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Fish City on the Galveston seawall. A reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Moody Gardens Aquarium. Music was provided by Dynamic Entertainment, photos were by Barron and Barron Photography.

The bride serves in the United States Marine Corps. The groom served for five years and is employed as an IT consultant for the United States Marine Corps. The couple reside in Woodbridge, Va., and plan a honeymoon to Greece.
