Accident

No citations were issued after an accident 8:42 p.m. Saturday on Grand River Drive in rural Union County.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Zachary Donald Morris, 25, of Afton, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet south in the 1400 block of Grand River Drive. A black cow, owned by Patrick James Kerrigan of Afton, ran from the ditch onto the road into Morris’ path. Morris struck the cow, causing damage down the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Damage estimate is $3,500 to Morris’ vehicle.
