Frances Bullock Creston

Frances M. Bullock, 101, of Creston died Sept. 19, 2013, at Afton Care Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Gideon Gallo will officiate. Burial will be in Redding Cemetery. Open visitation will be 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday with family present 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Creston. Frances Bullock, daughter of Della Angela (Oliver) and James Lawrence Parker, was born July 10, 1912, in Redding.

Frances grew up in the Redding area and graduated from Redding High School.

On May 14, 1932, Frances married William Sidney Bullock in Redding.

Frances spent the last 55 years of her life in Creston.

Frances was a homemaker and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Creston, United Methodist Women, UFW Auxiliary and Birthday Pals.

Frances is survived by her children, Roy (Norma) Bullock of Creston, Billie (Larry) Embree of Quincy, Ill., Paul (Linda) Bullock of Council Bluffs and Paulette (Robert) Brotherton of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughter-in-law Mary Bullock of Colorado; sister Mary Fox of Sterling, Colo.; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Elvin, Sam, Paul and Oliver and twin brother Frank; sisters, Thelma, Martha, Ruth, and Florence; son Larry Bullock; and daughter Lanore Ireland.
