Evin Lawrence Scadden — who allegedly sexually abused a female in July — has entered a plea of not guilty for the third-degree sexual abuse charge against him.

According to a Creston Police report, evidence collected does indicate the 20-year-old Scadden of Creston did engage in a sex act with the female July 16, which was by force or against her will.

A pretrial conference in Scadden’s case is scheduled 10 a.m. Nov. 22 at the Union County Courthouse. A trial is slated for 9:30 a.m. Jan. 13.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Stoney Avery Stuart of Creston — who allegedly sexually abused a 17-year-old female in July on the same day Scadden allegedly did — has also entered a plea of not guilty.

Stuart’s trial is slated for 9:30 a.m. Jan. 27.
