SWCC coach Melissa Blessington said an unusually fast start by the Spartans keyed the 3-0 victory,
“We had a great match,” SWCC coach Melissa Blessington said. “The girls are playing in a great rhythm right now and things are just rolling for us. In the first set we had some great serve receiving. We are incredibly balanced in hitting and we are hitting very efficient.”
Tonight the Spartans travel to Council Bluffs to take on Division I’s ninth-ranked team, Iowa Western (22-3).
“We know Iowa Western is a good team and that we are going to need to play at our best,” Blessington said. “I know our girls are not at our peak yet and that we still have work to do in order to make our run at the end of the season.”
