Jeremy Bishop Creston
Jeremy Bishop, 36, of Creston died Sept. 30, 2013, at his home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25. The Rev. Mark Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery south of Creston. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.
Jeremy Michael Bishop, son of Linda Diane (Rawlings) and Tim Eugene Bishop, was born Feb. 23, 1977, in Creston.
Jeremy grew up in Creston and graduated from Creston High School in 1995.
On July 25, 1998, Jeremy married Renee Major in Creston.
He was a lifelong resident of Creston and worked at Woodmark as a stainer and Wellman Dynamics as a rotary filer and casting solution processor.
Jeremy and Renee later divorced.
Jeremy also worked as a shift leader and cook at The Pizza Ranch.
Jeremy is survived by his father Tim (wife JoAnne) Bishop of Creston; mother Linda (husband Bill) McGuire of Thayer; daughters, Kacie and Kayleann Bishop, both of Creston; sisters, Jennifer (husband Danny) Willliams of Afton and Shelby Bishop, Ginny Keasey and April (husband Joel) Gross, all of Creston; brother Casey McGuire of Thayer; grandmothers, Carolyn Bishop of Creston and Darlene Rawlings of Mayetta, Kan.; and uncles, Marty Rawlings of Holton, Kan., Rick Rawlings of Mayetta, Kan., Kevin (wife Angie) Rawlings of Topeka, Kan., and Glen Jr. (wife Mary) Bishop; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Veral Rawlings and Glenn Bishop Sr.; grandmother Doris Williamson, uncle Rod Bishop, cousin Michelle Bishop and great-grandparents.
