Bethards, Maeder wed in September ceremony

Amy Lynn Bethards and Joseph Ward Maeder, both of Orient, were married Sept. 7 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Greenfield.

The bride is the daughter of Dave and Jane Bethards of Garden Grove and Dan and Kris Kernen of Gravity.

The groom is the son of Burton and Kim Maeder of Orient.

Maid of honor was Ashley Bethards, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Cassandra Case and Deborah Aldrich. Junior bridesmaid was Anna Mikkelsen, cousin of the groom. Flowergirl was Alivia, daughter of the couple.

Best man was Lance Mathiews. Groomsmen were Larry Mathiews and Jake Miller. Junior groomsman was Jackson Mikkelsen, cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Alexander, son of the couple.

Ushers were Aaron Bethards, brother of the bride, Mike Gillespie, Brett Ray and Dillon Roberts.

A reception was held after the ceremony at Williamson Legion Hall in Williamson.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Murray Community Schools in Murray. She is currently employed at Midwest Opportunities in Corning.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Orient-Macksburg Community Schools in Orient. He graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa in 2005. He is currently employed at Maeder Mgt.

The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii, and reside in rural Orient.
