Highland Highlights 4-H Club held its regular monthly meeting Sunday.
The newly-established Highland Highlights Clover Kids group led by Kelsey Bailey met at 12:30 p.m. for their meeting and recycled tin can craft. Several Highland members helped with the Clover Kids project.
The club headed out to clean up the ditches for roadside clean-up.
At 2:06 p.m. the regular business meeting was called to order by President Sarah Waigand. Micha Stevens led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Thirty one members were in attendance.
No secretary’s report was available.
A brief treasurer’s report was given by Savannah Hartman. More than $800 was brought in by the Skarda bake sale.
Record books were talked about and forms were handed out by Karen Loudon, leader. The deadline for last year’s record book is Oct. 28.
New officers were elected for the upcoming 4-H year. They are President Sarah Waigand, Vice President Maddie Skarda, Secretary Savannah Hartman, Treasurer Emily Robinson, Reporter Macy Evans; historians, Laura Weis, Micha Stevens and Taylor Buxton; and photographers, Sydney Dunphy, Ann Waigand, Caitlin McIravy and Saige Rice. County Youth Council members will be appointed by the leaders.
The next meeting will be 4 p.m. Nov. 10. This is a time change, so mark your calendars. County enrollment dues will be collected by the club treasurer at this meeting and are $30 payable to Highland Highlights.

Sand Creek Pioneers
The Sand Creek Pioneers 4-H club held its monthly meeting 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at Arispe Church. Catelin Haight called the meeting to order. Maddie R led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance. The 4-H Pledge was led by Kate Foglesong. Members of the
club answered roll call by saying their favorite thing about fall.
Allison Hadley, secretary, read the minutes from the September meeting.
The treasurer’s report was given.
County Council members reported the council had not met since the last 4-H meeting.
Cali Foglesong shared she submitted the write up from the September meeting to the newspaper.
Sarah told the club members the newsletter had been sent out, and she reminded members to read the newsletter for upcoming events. She reminded the members about a carcass data meeting Oct. 8 at Afton Community Center. Record books are due Oct. 28th. The enrollment process needs to be taken care of by Dec. 1.
For old business, Sarah reminded the officers to turn in their books from the past year.
The Feed the Farmer committee gave an update on this fundraiser, which was held Sunday.

For new business, the club decided to keep the annual payment to Arispe Church the same as last year. They approved to keep the same adult names on the checking account.

Ripperger, Reporter Emma Harper, Historian Kennady Fry and Steven Fry, Junior President Abby Harper, Junior Vice President Maddie R., Junior Secretary Steven Fry, Junior Reporter Kate Foglesong, County Council, Catelin Haight, Cali Foglesong, Grace Hall, and Kate Foglesong, and Recreation, Olivia Cheers and Maddie R.
The next meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at Arispe Church. Eklund and Cheers will be the host family. Sanden and Olivia Cheers will give presentations.
