Accident

Shawn Edward Jarvis, 40, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., was cited for failure to maintain control and driving while revoked after an accident 3:46 a.m. Saturday on Highway 34.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Jarvis, driving a 1992 BMW east on Highway 34, failed to maintain control of the vehicle, and it exited the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle flipped, landed on its top and came to rest several feet from railroad tracks.

Kendall Lee Ross II, 23, 201 W. Mills St., Apt. 6, was a passenger in the vehicle, and was transported to Greater Regional Medical Center by ambulance. His condition is unknown.

Damage estimate is $5,000 to Jarvis’ vehicle.
