William ‘Willy’ Tridle IV Milford

William “Willy” E. Tridle IV, 30, of Milford, formerly of Orient, died Oct. 11, 2013, at home.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Orient United Methodist Church. The Rev. Cathy Nutting will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Nevinville at a later date. Visitation with family present will be 1 to 3 p.m. service time Wednesday at the church. Steen Funeral Home, 101 S.E. Fourth St., Greenfield, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the William “Willy” Tridle IV memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.steenfunerals.com.

William “Willy” E. Tridle IV, son of Kim Askeland Thomsen and William “Bill” E. Tridle III, was born Aug. 29, 1983, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.  

Willy started his life on a farm in Nevinville. He moved several times, eventually settling in Milford. He lived most of his life in the Iowa Great Lakes area.

Willy attended Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School (class of 2002) and later earned his GED.

Over the years, Willy worked in agriculture at a farmer’s cooperative and later in construction.

Willy is survived by his mother Kim Askeland Thomsen of Milford, father William (wife Susan) E. Tridle III of Orient, daughter Aryah Tridle of Milford, special friend Randie Sheldon of Milford; sisters, Alina (special friend Brian Jatho) of Spirit Lake and Whitney Tridle of Orient; brother Jordan Tridle of Orient, nephew Seth Funk, niece Maci Funk; grandparents, William E. Jr. and H. Maxine Tridle of Orient, Virgina Askeland of Griswold and Lyle (wife JoAnn) Askeland of Sanborn; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Willy was preceded in death by his grandmother Daisy Wilson Tridle.
