No citations were issued after an accident 6:11 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of North Pine and West Howard streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Christopher Lee Cox, 38, of Villisca, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet west on Howard when a 12-year-old boy riding his bicycle north crossed Howard via an alley. The boy did not make sure traffic was clear before crossing the street. Cox was unable to stop his vehicle in time and struck the boy in the middle of the intersection. The boy was transported to Greater Regional Medical Center. His condition is currently unknown.

Damage estimate is $50 to Cox’s vehicle.

Jennifer Leann Brown, 16, of Hopkins, Mo., was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn after an accident 1 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and West Taylor Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Brown, driving a 1991 Plymouth east on Taylor, was attempting to turn north onto Wyoming. Brown started the turn and did not see Billie Jo Myers, 34, of Corning, driving a 2008 Toyota west on Taylor. Myers had no duty to stop or yield, and collided with Brown.

Damage estimates are $1,750 to Brown’s vehicle and $3,000 to Myers’ vehicle.
