Neva Reeve, 96, of Lenox, died Oct. 16, 2013.
A celebration of life graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. today, Oct. 21, at Cromwell Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Area Bible Fellowship Church in Clearfield. Ritchie Funeral Home, 124 S. Main St., Lenox, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given in Neva’s name. Online condolences may be left at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com.
Neva Leona (McKinney) Reeve, daughter of Delpha Lela (Mayne) and Claude Winfield McKinney, was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Macksburg.
After graduating from high school in Macksburg, Neva worked as a maid for several years.
On Aug. 1, 1938, Neva married Gail Reeve in Greenfield.
The couple moved to Colorado for a short time and then returned to Iowa, where Gail worked for the railroad. They later farmed in Ringgold County, and in 1985, the couple moved to Lenox.
Gail died in April of 2003, and Neva continued to live at home.
Neva is survived by her children, Gailard (wife Dee) Reeve of Des Moines, Joan (husband Larry) Davis of Scranton, Allen (wife Katie Temple) Reeve of Runnells, Tena Reeve of Lenox and Darla (husband Bill) Davis of Lamar, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, many great- and great-great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.
In addition to her husband, Neva was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jerry Reeve in September of 2003 and Darrell Reeve in January of 2010; brothers, Earl and Murle McKinney; and one great-granddaughter.
