Zachary Linn Wander, 16, 1922 Beechwood Ave., was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn after an accident 11:20 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and West Taylor Street.

According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to a two-car accident. Upon arrival, it was determined Wander, driving a 1998 Mercury east on West Taylor, attempted a left turn north on Wyoming and struck the rear passenger side of a 1996 Dodge, driven by Terry William Squibbs, 38, of Corning, west on West Taylor. Wander said he didn’t see Squibbs because of another vehicle on the north side of the road turning south.

Damage estimates are $2,000 to Wander’s vehicle and $1,000 to Squibbs’ vehicle.
