Lenox Police

Kyle Robert Potter, 24, of Lenox was charged with two counts of child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, and Cassie Ann Potter, 21, of Lenox was charged with two counts of child endangerment Friday.

According to Lenox Police reports, officers were dispatched to 601 S. Walnut St., Apt. 16, 6:45 p.m. A caller stated small children were screaming and throwing items out a window of a trailer, and there were no lights on in the trailer. Upon arrival, officers observed two nude female children, 18 months and 4 years old. Both were in a rear bedroom and had thrown a number of items out a broken window. Officers entered the trailer and found the door of the rear bedroom tied shut with a strap.

A male, identified as Kyle Robert Potter, was found in a bedroom, unconscious and believed to be under the influence of an illegal drug. Drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana were found next to him.

While officers were present, a female, identified as Cassie Ann Potter, arrived at the residence. She identified herself as the children’s mother and was questioned further.

Kyle Potter and Cassie Potter were transported to Taylor County Sheriff’s office. Both children were removed from the parents’ custody and placed into state foster care.
