Paul Morris – Ankeny

Paul Morris, 59, of Ankeny, formerly of Creston, died Nov. 3, 2013, at Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, Creston. Mary O’Riley will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery south of Creston. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Paul Roger Morris, son of Florabelle “Pat” (Patterson) and Hal Dean Morris, was born Feb. 23, 1954, in Creston.

Paul graduated from Creston High School in 1972.

On June 11, 1983, Paul married Carmen Kay Miller in Corning.

Paul lived in Creston most of his life, where he was a farmer, until moving to Ankeny in 1996. While in Ankeny, he worked for Goodwill Industry, until his illness in 2001, when he retired.

Paul is survived by his wife Carmen Morris of Ankeny, father Hal Dean Morris of Lenox; daughters, Sarah (husband David) Rewoldt of Bondurant and Emily Morris of Ankeny; mother-in-law Mary Miller of Ankeny, brother Monty Morris of Lenox; sisters, Susan Loudon of Creston and Peggy Sweeney of Britt; several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, brother-in-law Jim Loudon and father-in-law Ben Miller.
