Accident

Gregory Kent Lange, 47, 903 E. Howard St., was cited for failure to maintain control after an accident 9:21 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of North Sumner Avenue and West Mills Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Lange, driving a 1999 Chevrolet north on North Sumner, collided with the rear of a 2005 Chevrolet driven north on North Sumner by David James Rooker, 61, 504 W. Summit St., which then collided with the rear of a 2004 Chevrolet driven north on North Sumner by Ryan Karl Heatherington, 31, 1011 W. Adams St. The driver of an unknown vehicle was stopped to make a right-hand turn onto West Mills. Heatherington and Rooker had stopped behind the vehicle. Lange said he was eating a sandwich and did not see Rooker.

Damage estimates are $1,500 to Lange’s vehicle, $2,500 to Rooker’s vehicle and $1,000 to Heatherington’s vehicle.
